Story behind g-shock

G-Shock was born in 1983 when Casio engineer Kikuo Ibe aimed to create a watch that could withstand rough handling.

After 200+ prototypes, the first G-Shock model (DW-5000C) was released, featuring a shock-absorbing design. Since then, G-Shock has become a legendary brand, innovating with technologies like solar power, atomic timekeeping, and GPS, while collaborating with artists and brands, and remaining a leader in the watch industry.
